Tolerans is the world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced in-line stitching systems for the newspaper and commercial printing industries. Since installing its first system in 1968, Tolerans has grown its business to include 70 countries around the world and has installed more than two thousand stitchers.

Tolerans was founded.
1947–1962
Operated as an engineering consultant and sub‑supplier to the manufacturing industry.
1963
Began developing and manufacturing specialized machinery for the printing industry.
1968
The first in‑line stitcher was delivered.
1971–1973
Stitching technology became the standard for Swedish tabloids.
1992
The first STREAMLINER® stitcher was released.
2001
The first SPEEDLINER® stitcher was released.
2010
Next‑generation SPEEDLINER® 2.0 & S60 stitcher was launched.
2011
The first SPEEDLINER®2.0 Doubleround stitcher was released.
